How to Setup Wireless NDE/LE Lock

Please note these instructions  are for a NDE/LE to connect directly to Premisys via WiFi.

  1. First things first we need to FDR the lock by taking off the battery cover and holding in the reset button shown below.
  2. You will hear 2 beeps, then turn the inside handle three times and the lock should beep with each turn and a long beep when it is FDR’d.
  3. Now it is time to add the door in the Engage App.
  4. Log into the engage app and select the plus symbol in the top right corner.
  5. Select NDE or LE Lock and you will be prompted to turn the inside handle of the lock you are trying to commission
  6. Once the lock is found you can select it, if the correct lock is selected the LED will flash red and you will be prompted to verify the flashing in the app by clicking yes.
  7.  Name the lock accordingly and click next.
  8. Turn off the wifi option by clicking the wifi button in the app shown below then click save.
  9. Select update firmware in the connection screen.
  10. You will now be prompted to select the Locks name in you PHONE’S wifi settings and simply paste the password as it has been copied for you.
  11. Exit the app and go to your settings and into the wifi settings.
  12. Select the network with the Locks name and paste the password into the password box and hit join. 

    NOTE: YOU MAY HAVE TO TURN YOUR WIFI ON AND OFF AGAIN A FEW TIMES FOR THE NETWORK TO SHOW UP.
  13. Return to the app and hit the send button which will initiate the firmware upgrade.
  14.  Once the firmware update is complete the lock will beep 3 times.
  15. Now that the firmware is updated you need to configure the wifi .
  16. Click on the Lock in your app to open up the settings and click on the wifi tab as shown below.
  17. Hit the WiFi switch and configure enter the SSID and password. NOTE: SSID IS CASE SENSITIVE
  18. Enter the Premisys servers IP address if selecting IP, or the DNS name if selecting DNS, select unsecured and click save in the top right corner.
  19. Click Update from Server and click OK which will initiate the connection to the premisys server, while this is going on the lock will blink amber.
  20. Remained connected until the LED returns to flashing RED meaning the Update from Server has completed and you can disconnect.
  21. 22.Now it’s time to add the door in Premisys
  22. 23. Under Hardware Configuration click on the ENGAGE Hardware tab and right click on the (Offline Doors) folder and select add.
  23. The NDE’s serial number should show up in the available locks but if it does not click the refresh button next to the drop down until it shows up.
  24. Select the door you wish to use from the list and click use.
  25. Name the door appropriately and setup any other desired settings on the Door Settings tab.
  26. Click the Card Format tab and select the appropriate format that is being used.
  27. Click the Access Group tab to add the door to the appropriate Access Group.
  28. Name the door appropriately and setup any other desired settings on the Door Settings tab.
  29. Click the Card Format tab and select the appropriate format that is being used.
  30. Click the Access Group tab to add the door to the appropriate Access Group.
  31. Click Ok to add the door.
  32. Log back into the Engage app and initiate another update from server.
  33. Once updated it is now time to check and make sure it is working correctly.
WHEN MAKING A CHANGE TO A RECORD OR THE DOOR AN UPDATE FROM SERVER NEEDS TO BE INITIATED FOR THE CHANGE TO TAKE EFFECT.
