There are a few items that can cause multiple PIMs to go on/offline.
- Verify that each PIM in the communication line have unique address.
- PIMs cannot be wired in a star configuration, they must be daisy chained.
- Verify the controller is set to communicate at 9600 baud.
After verifying the settings above we need to make sure your high-door / low-door values are configured for each PIM.
Solution: In the PIM configuration there is a lo and hi value. When communicating two or more PIMs in a communication line it will be necessary to set the PIM lo and high door values as follows.
First PIM value for lo is 0 high 16
Second PIM value lo 17 high 32
Third PIM value 33 high 49
So each PIM has different lo\ hi values
Once you have set the High-door low-door values set the PIMs should stay online.
