Turning off Legacy Mode for LP Series Controller

If you installed an LP series controller prior to the PremiSys 4.0 release, you likely placed your LP series controller into legacy mode. To fully utilize the features of the LP series panel, you may want to switch out of legacy mode after upgrading to a current PremiSys version. Follow these steps to return the controller to normal operating mode:

1.)    Physical LP Series Controller Setup:

On the physical LP Series controller locate the 4 position DIP Switch bank.

2.)    Switch Configuration:

Turn Dip Switch 4 OFF.

3.)    PremiSys Server Configuration:

·         Log in to the PremiSys Server.

·         Click on "Tasks" and select "Hardware Configuration."

·         Right-click on the controller in the hardware tree and choose "Edit."

·         In the dropdown box labeled "Controller," change the selection from "Two-Reader Controller" to "LP Two-Reader Controller." Click "OK" and log out of PremiSys.

4.)    Service Management:

·         Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.

·         Locate the files named PanelCommands.xml and PanelCommands.xsl. Take note of their sizes.

·         Select both files and delete them.

5.)    Service Restart:

·         Start both the IDenticard Windows Service and the IDenticard Scheduling Service.

·         Confirm that the PanelCommands files are regenerated.

6.)    Panel Reset and Download:

·         Log in to PremiSys.

·         Reset and download the controller.

Once completed, the Panel and PremiSys software should be set for normal operating mode, and all DIP switches should be in the OFF position.
